The Art Nouveau style was popular in Europe and America around the beginning of the 20th century, and was characterised by flowing lines and often by floral motifs.
Each design in this collection is surrounded by a green frame which helps to unify the different subjects, and which would be of use in the making of a quilt or patchwork. However these frames can easily be left out if you prefer the plain designs by themselves
They are all for embroidery only, with no applique areas. All are for the 4x4 inch hoop.
