This is the first of our DVD+CD projects and it comes in two parts:
- a DVD showing the steps to complete the project
- a CD with the printable tutorial notes and the free designs
Use this fabulous project to create a table quilt based on a Lemon Star pattern. It could even be adapted for a tree skirt with Christmas designs. We have used an applique design on four of the eight arms of the star and then inserted off-the-edge 9mm scallops between the star and the backing fabric. The square can be finished with either off-the-edge maxi scallops or an endless hoop design included in the project. Finished size is 30" square. Looks great made in traditional colors or Christmas colors.
The Lemon Star Quilt project is featured in Creative Expressions Vol 13. The applique design that is shown is not included in the project. The free design is an applique base that needs designs from Jenny Haskins cutwork collection to finish it. Other designs could be easily substituted.
This project features a Pfaff 2144 but any embroidery machine could be used. The Pfaff 3D software is also shown but the techniques would apply to any software package.
This is a project suitable for beginners or those wanting to extend their skills.
A fabric kit is also available for a Christmas version of the Lemon Star Quilt project. It includes:
- 1 1/2 m of hand dyed red and green fabrics
- a CD with two Christmas Design sets in multi-format

DVDs are sent to you via post and are not available by download. High Quality DVDs are made to play on a DVD PLAYER and television. They will be compatible with your computer only if you can view movie dvd's in Windows Media Player, Windows Media Centre, Real Time Player or other DVD playback systems that require a dvd codex to function.
NTSC format will be automatically sent to the Region 1 countries USA and Canada; PAL format will be sent to orders from all other regions.
